Boxed Set of Previously Unreleased Tom Petty Music Coming This Fall

A box set full of previously unreleased Tom Petty music is slated to arrive on September 28, Variety reports. According to the announcement on SiriusXM’s Tom Petty Radio, it’s called American Treasure. The four CDs will feature 60 tracks of unreleased live and studio material throughout Petty’s career. The box set was curated by Petty’s wife Dana York, daughter Adria, Heartbreakers bandmate Mike Campbell, and studio collaborator Ryan Ulate. It’s also set to feature covers by other artists.

Tom Petty died in October 2017 at the age of 66 from an accidental drug overdose. His last solo record was 2006’s Highway Companion. He released Hypnotic Eye with the Heartbreakers in 2014.
