Denmark Supermarket Has Found Creative Way To Prevent Hoarding During Coronavirus Crisis

The Coronavirus crisis has unfortunately brought out the worst in some people, who have resorted to hoarding hard to find necessities from toilet paper to hand sanitizer among other things.

But The Rotund supermarket has come up with a pricing trick that prevents customers from buying up all the in demand commodities.

One example is the pricing on antiseptic. The price for one bottle is $4.09, but the price jumps to $95 for two bottles.

They also posted this sign in their shop:

“We ask all customers to respect the distance between each other and our co-workers; Sprinkle (likely sanitize or wash) hands off at the entrance and use gloves; If you are a family, please allow only one person to purchase the purchases if possible; There may be times when we limit how many customers we accept in the store at one time. …. Take care and thank you for your understanding.”
