Gas Prices Predicted To Hit $4/Gallon In 2022

• The cost of a gallon of gas could reach as high as $4 in some areas by Memorial Day 2022.
• That’s according to a new GasBuddy forecast, which predicts the national average will climb to $3.41 a gallon in 2022. By comparison, this year’s national average was $3.02.
• “We could see a national average that flirts with, or in a worst-case scenario, potentially exceeds $4 a gallon,” says Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy.
