List of July 4th Fireworks Celebrations Still Happening in The Tri-State

With the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Fourth of July celebrations are going to be a little different. While some longstanding events in the area have been cancelled, others are still happening. Here is a brief list of what is still scheduled:

Friday, July 3rd:

Shafer Park in Boonsboro, fireworks at dark; rain date Sunday, July 5th

Byron Memorial Park in Williamsport, Independence Day celebration at dusk

Saturday, July 4th:

Fairgrounds Park in Hagerstown, fireworks at 9:30pm

Practice Fields at Waynesboro Schools, live music 7pm with fireworks to follow

Shippensburg Memorial Park, fireworks, attendance limited to 250, gates open at 8pm

As far as what’s not happening this year, Clear Spring’s Independence Jam, The Salute to Independence at Antietam Battlefield and fireworks in Martinsburg have all been cancelled. Fourth of July events scheduled for Memorial Park in Chambersburg have been postponed until Labor Day.
