In a new interview with Variety, Ozzy Osbourne admits he thought he’d be drinking until the day he died.
Ozzy, who’s been sober for about seven years, says his substance abuse started because he never liked the way he felt.
“I’ve had great success in my life, but I’ve never felt great about myself.”
After several trips to rehab, Ozzy said he finally sobered up because it was taking a toll on his children.
“I mean, it’s a very selfish disease. My kids needed me.”
Ozzy added, “There’s nothing special about me. I should have been dead 1,000 times.”
