- A very famous Rush fan tried to convince Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson to tour again.
- That would be none other than Paul McCartney, who made the pitch after meeting Lee and Lifeson backstage at last year’s Taylor Hawkins tribute concert in London.
- Lee told Rolling Stone the three of them were having some drinks backstage when McCartney told them ‘You have to do it, man. You have to get back out there, man.’ – and even joked that he would serve as their tour manager.
- Lee has said he’s open to recording with Lifeson again at some point.
