Russian Health Officials Say No Alcohol For Two Months After Taking COVID-19 Vaccine

Russians who get the coronavirus vaccine are being told to skip drinking alcohol.

Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister says the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine takes at least 42 days to become effective and alcohol puts a strain on the body so it should be avoided while immunity builds up.

According to the World Health Organization, Russia is the fourth-largest consumer of alcohol per person in the world.
