  • Dennis DeYoung has issued a response to former Styx bandmate Tommy Shaw’s kind comments about him – and it would appear he’s not quite over getting dumped by the group.
  • In a recent interview, Shaw said he’s let go of his long-harbored anger toward DeYoung, who was booted from the band in 1999. He even said he’s now “honored to play” DeYoung’s schmaltzy “The Best of Times” during Styx’s concerts.
  • Responding to the praise, DeYoung has issued a statement that reads, “A quarter of a century after the fact, Tommy Shaw has an epiphany. Well thanks, T, that’s mighty kind of you. And you are correct, your solo on the song is perfect. I sure wish you would have invited me back this tour to sing this one; it is one of my favorites. In case you have forgotten there’s a bunch more that youze guys are playing that I could sing and play as well, like ‘Mr. Roboto.’”
