Tommy Lee Says He Won’t Answer Any More Fan Mail After Finding Autographed Items on Ebay
Don’t send Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee any items asking him to autograph. He’s says he done after finding multiple items that he signed for fans for sale on the internet.
“I thought I was doing the right thing by addressing the fan mail to people by their names so that they wouldn’t be re-sold online, but now people are being so shady that they are whiting out their names and reselling on eBay,” Lee wrote on Instagram.
He also included screenshots of a drum head he signed and three signed photos with the recipient’s name covered up or erased.
Lee says he spends “literally hundreds of hours” signing items for fans and unfortunately many of them only want to make a buck off him.
“Those of you that got a signature, I hope you enjoy & appreciate it, and those of you that are selling can go f–k yourselves!!!” he wrote. “I’M DONE! DON’T SEND ANYMORE AUTOGRAPH REQUESTS!”
Lee was also the only member of the band that didn’t participate in meet and greets on Motley Crue’s last tour.
“I love you all and I’ll gladly high-five y’all if I see you out ‘n’ about — and you won’t have to pay me for that,” he said at the time.
