Virginia Restaurant To Use Mannequins At Tables To Enforce Social Distancing

As things start to open up amid the coronavirus pandemic, business owners are getting creative in finding ways to serve customers while still adhering to social distancing rules.

A restaurant in Virginia is resorting to using life-size mannequins at certain tables to help keep actual patrons safely distanced while eating.

Patrick O’Connell is the chef at the Inn at Little Washington and came up with the idea when it was announced that Virginia restaurants could reopen but on at 50% capacity.

O’Connell, who was a drama major in college, even plans to dress his mannequins at the upscale eatery in vintage 1940’s era outfits and have his wait staff interact with and serve wine to the dummies.

Expect to see plenty of crazy things like this until the world gets back to normal.
