Wolfgang Van Halen Responds To David Lee Roth’s Criticism

• After becoming the target of David Lee Roth’s verbal barbs, Wolfgang Van Halen says he’s no worse for the wear – and, in fact, says he’s “honored” to be victimized by the singer.
• “I guess I’m honored he even thinks about me as much as he seems to,” Van Halen says. “I guess you have to take what he says with a grain of salt considering he also said that he wrote ‘Eruption’ and … all the solos that Dad wrote.”
• Van Halen’s comments come after Roth posted an online video in which he shaded his former bandmate, saying he constantly complained that Roth didn’t give him enough attention – and ended up retaliating because of it. “I seem to have been born into this Van Halen drama that has come way before me,” Wolfgang Van Halen says. “And I guess now that my dad isn’t here to be a target, I guess he went to the next best thing.”
